WNI coordinates job training for adults in Burnet, Llano, and Blanco counties who are pursuing careers in key healthcare occupations, such as nursing. Through strong partnerships with community colleges, healthcare employers, the regional workforce board, community leaders, and funders, we address the challenges faced by adult students. We reduce financial barriers, strengthen academic readiness for nursing school, and help participants earn professional credentials. These efforts position them for well-paying, rewarding careers in healthcare.

Our Skilled Trades Program equips individuals with the hands-on training, technical knowledge, and workforce readiness skills needed to succeed in high-demand trade careers. Participants explore pathways such as construction, electrical, plumbing, and other technical fields while gaining practical experience and industry insight. The program also emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional development, helping individuals build confidence and prepare for certifications, apprenticeships, and long-term employment in the skilled trades.
